Nature of the Service

Brown County Released Inmates is a private reference service. It does not represent a sheriff, court, jail, corrections department, or other public office. No official custody or court records are stored here. The site cannot confirm a person's current custody, cause a release, change a record, file a court document, or act for a government custodian.

Content points visitors toward official Brown County and Ohio sources, such as the Brown County Sheriff's Office, Brown County Jail, county courts, ODRC, VINELink, and federal locators. Some pages also connect visitors to outside research tools. Any official decision or record must come from the office responsible for it.

Acceptable Use Rules

Service Provided As Is

The site and all content are offered “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, no express or implied warranty is made concerning:

• continuous, timely, or uninterrupted access;
• the absence of errors, defects, malware, or security weaknesses; or

Custody status, release data, office details, and public records can change quickly. Nothing displayed here is an official statement from the Brown County Sheriff's Office, Brown County Jail, ODRC, a court, or another agency. Verify material with the originating office before relying on it.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent Ohio and other applicable law permits, Brown County Released Inmates and its owners, operators, contributors, and partners will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive loss arising from access to, inability to use, or reliance on the site or any linked service. Your Duty to Indemnify

Suspension or Revocation

Ohio Law Governs

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that may properly proceed must be filed in a court with jurisdiction in Ohio, unless controlling law requires a different venue.

If One Term Is Invalid

If a court finds one provision invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed. Every remaining provision will continue in effect. The failure to enforce a term once does not waive the right to enforce it later.
